Stunt Evolution
Stunt Evolution is a unique Cheerleading demonstration night that is organized and hosted by the Bisons Cheerleaders. The evening is an exciting event for families, athletes, friends and sponsors which includes AMAZING entertainment and great food/beverage options. Stunt Evolution is a fundraiser that will allow the Bison Cheer team to compete out of province in the spring of 2011. Come and support the Bison Cheer team!!
Stunt Evolution is like a competition...without the judges! The participating teams are asked to prepare for a series of small challenges which are 'judged' by the audience! All athletes receive a round of well deserved applause and the athlete/group that receives the loudest applause WINS the challenge! Each participating team will perform a competitive routine and the evening will conclude with the Bisons Cheerleading competitive routine. The Bisons have only a few opportunities each year that a full competitive routine is performed here in our own province. We are always that much more proud to show off our competitive routine in front of a supportive home crowd!
A few examples of the audience-judged challenges are:
-Basket toss skills competition (a high flying, popular challenge)
-Tumbling competition (the most exhausting challenge!)
-Partner stunting competition (one guy, one girl, all skill!)
-Quad competition (4 girls demonstrating 'chick strength')
-Lib holding competition (how long can we REALLY hold a person up in the air)
The winner(s) of each challenge receive a prize which is donated one of our great sponsors!
Are there benefits for the prize sponsors??
YES! A business that donates a prize(s) will have their business logo printed in our Stunt Evolution program. Sponsors will also be recognized by the Master of Ceremonies during the event. Our 2008 and 2009 Master of Ceremonies was a tag-team effort between Bisons coach Carrie Robson and Hot 103 radio voice Ace Burpee!
Are there benefits if my business is a Bisons Cheerleading sponsor??
YES! A business that has sponsored the Bisons Cheerleading team for $500 or greater will have their business logo printed in our Stunt Evolution program. Additionally, the business will be provided with a space to set up an advertisement kiosk on our main entrance floor. This may be a table of merchandise, a small booth, a brochure stand or any other form of advertising that we can accommodate. Businesses are responsible for their kiosks/merchandise during the performances however the Bisons will do everything possible to accommodate and assist in set up, take down, hand outs, etc.
Stunt Evolution is held at the University of Manitoba's Investors Group Athletic Centre.
